AI Calabria is built on memory, listening and attention to detail: noticing a word that is disappearing, a variation found in a single village, the exact nuance of a pronunciation. These are areas in which many people with disabilities participate differently and often excel. We do not welcome them out of generosity; we want them because their contribution makes the linguistic heritage more accurate than we could make it on our own. They work alongside everyone else, as equals, because they bring real added value.

What is AI Calabria?
AI Calabria is the collective project that preserves the linguistic heritage of Calabrian dialects and speech varieties, municipality by municipality, through validated words, phrases, memories and pronunciations.
How can I take part in AI Calabria?
You can add a new contribution, record a pronunciation, help build your municipality’s book or collaborate with a Company.
What happens after a contribution is submitted?
The content is checked and becomes public after validation by a Guardian. It then enters the public linguistic heritage and the municipality’s book.
What are municipal books for?
Each book collects a municipality’s validated voices and shows both what the community is preserving and what is still missing.

Because it connects linguistic data with territory, context, validation and audio—essential elements for studying local varieties and developing more responsible technologies.
